Gert Martens
BIO
Gert's journey began on a farm in the serene surroundings of
La Crete, a small northern Alberta town. It was here that she first grasped the fundamental principles of hard work and unwavering determination, recognizing them as the cornerstones of her future success.
In 2006, Gert and her husband, Spike, embarked on a new chapter in Grande Prairie, leaving behind a legacy of business ownership in the Salon & Spa industry. A pivotal turn of events in 2010 led Gert to the exciting world of the mortgage industry, where she assumed the role of a Partner and Mortgage Broker at Dominion Lending HT Mortgage Group before joining DLC Mortgage Connection based out of Calgary.
This bold move proved to be a wise decision, as Gert's dedication and expertise catapulted her to remarkable achievements. She swiftly ascended to the #4 spot in CMP's small markets ranking and secured the #27 position in Volume across Canada. Month after month, and year after year she has maintained a coveted position within the Top 20 ranks at Dominion Lending Centre Canada. Her continued success culminated in her being honoured with the prestigious CMP Alberta Broker of the Year award for 2022. In 2025, Gert and the team received DLC recognition for the 2nd highest volume of mortgages in Canada and surpassed the milestone of funding $1 billion worth of mortgages.
Leveraging her extensive background in business and her profound knowledge of the finance industry, Gert consistently equips her clients with invaluable financial insights and a diverse array of mortgage options. Carmen Deller
BIO
Carmen was raised in Hinton, Alberta. She moved to Grande Prairie in 2005 with her husband and three small children. She has been in finance ever since. Carmen worked for one of the big banks for 8 years until deciding to move into the Mortgage Industry. Carmen is a licensed broker, as well as a licensed mortgage assistant. She has been a valued member of the team since 2014! In Carmen’s time off she loves spending time with her adult children and grandkids, as well as traveling now that the kids are all grown.

Karen Froese
BIO
Karen was born and raised in the small northern town of La Crete, Alberta. Shortly after marrying her high school sweetheart Karen completed her Pharmacy Technician diploma program. After numerous years in the field and a move to Grande Prairie in 2021 Karen decided to pursue a new dream. She acquired her Mortgage License in 2024 and has been a valued member of the Gert Martens Mortgage Team since! Outside of work you can find Karen out for walks with her dog, playing pickleball, or spending time with friends!

Tina Foran
BIO
Originally from Nova Scotia, Tina brings a diverse background in customer service, administration, and client support to the team. Her previous experience has included working directly with clients, administrative support and helping people navigate different processes and technology. Since moving west in 2023 she has made Grande Prairie home! In 2025, she and her husband eloped in the mountains of the Yukon Territory, making the West an even bigger part of their story. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring waterfalls, mountains, and rivers with her husband and two dogs, other wise can be found camping, running, reading, writing, or finding new hobbies outdoors.

Aimee Guy
BIO
Aimee was born in Nova Scotia and spent her early childhood there before moving to Grande Prairie almost 20 years ago! She spent several years in the oil and gas industry before transitioning into the mortgage world! She is excited to be a part of the Gert Martens Mortgage Team as a Broker and Licensed Mortgage Assistant! In her 6+ years as an agent she has helped many clients finance their dream home! Outside of work, Aimee keeps busy hauling her 2 kids around to soccer, parkour, piano, and hockey!

Mark Seon
BIO
Mark is our remote team member based out of Edmonton. He brings more than 20 years of experience in financial services, with a background spanning mortgage lending and underwriting, personal and business banking, credit adjudication, branch leadership, broker relations, and training to the team. He values strong relationships, practical problem-solving and finding solutions that work for both clients and business partners. Outside of work he enjoys collecting records, and eating a good pasta dish!

Hope Vion
BIO
Hope was born and raised near Camrose Alberta, on a small acreage with sheep, llama’s, chickens, and an old horse. She moved to Canora, Saskatchewan and attended Nipawin Bible College for 3 years and spend the following years working with kids at camp, running drama programs, and then in the role of assistant cook at her college. She moved to Grande Prairie in 2022 mainly to live closer to family. She spent 4 years in optical sales and is thrilled to start a new career with Dominion Lending Centres and be a part of Gert’s team. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her 17 nieces and nephews, going for walks, painting, or drinking coffee.
